Malaysia, Genting Highlands (Part One) - Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant

It has been years since I last went to Genting.. Wait.. At least 6 years... I can't remember how it used to look like, but basically it still looks kinda boring, unless you are ready to immerse into "stomaching" yourself with food and snacks, theme attractions, and also numbers of casinos spread throughout.

I have never entered Casino before. Yes, including our very own Singapore ones as I have no interest in gambling. Nevertheless, I took a walk-in during this trip, and it looks roughly the same as I have thought, in terms of ambience. But not as grand as I had imagined :(

Enough of my crap, and off to some random food I had.

I reached there around late morning, and managed to check-in my hotel room, and had some rest before lunch. Went to "Restoran Ah Yat Abalone Forum", located in First World Plaza. Sad to say, this is my first time patronizing them, and it was quite disappointing. It was a late lunch, and a number of dim sums were already taken out of the list. Those I had, does not seem yummy at all, and taste so-so only...

I have forgotten the dishes ordered, but hope the pictures are still able to serve as a good reference :)

Deep-fried Yam dim sum. Still quite like this, but on an average rating.

Fishball not! I still prefer the usual fishballs, bouncy ones :)

Made an order for roasted duck, but all their "quacks" have gone down the throat of others :'( Hence, gotta make do with roasted chicken. This was equally disappointing as the dim sums...

Service is good, but dislike the fact that they kept re-filling our tea cups even if I had just a sip minutes ago since their last refill. Otherwise, their cold towels are kinda refreshing! Price is cheap, but due to the food, I don't think I will visit them again on my next Genting Trip.
