Maxwell Food Centre

Impromtu dinner at Maxwell Food Centre after work...

Went to this recommended Thai stall, Sisaket Thai Food, which is just outside the public toilet.

Ordered Chicken Basil ($4.50). Mixed your rice with the sauce and chicken meat, it's just perfect.

Tom Yum Fried Rice ($4.00). Taste of Tom Yum is not strong enough, but does have a bit of sour taste after squeezing out the lime juice. Overall, it is just an alright dish.

Not satisfying enough, we had what the Chinese called, "五香".

There is this particular stall, recommended for its fritters, but it's closed for the day when we went over. Thus, after searching, seems that there is another similar stall, with some popularity as well...

Being handed down to the 2nd generation, China Street Fritters is located in the middle row, corner stall. It seems that most people came to order their bee hoon, "米粉", but has been sold out. And so were their fishballs...

Their fritters comes in a standard set, with 4 items.

Because of the "lack of resources" when we reached, we are only able to select egg slice, century egg, meat roll, and sausage, out of the remaining 6 items. Fishball seems to be popular too because its sold out first!

Quite disappointed with their sweet sauce. Had a dip with my fritters, and realized it does not matter if I had the sweet suace or not. It is totally bland! But on the other hand, the spicy sauce is quite good!!
