STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar

Bay Hotel, which is directly opposite Sentosa Gateway, didn't caught my attention all the time till I researched for food in Harborfront. I didn't quite favor the location of the restaurant, which is like less than 5 steps to the lift, as well as the door to the entrance/exit. Thus, it can be quite distracting by the people in and out...

Breadroll supplied for dinner!

Forest Mushroom soup ($9.00) is a veloute of wild mushrooms with a melange of garlic croutons, cream and chives. It was so-so though...

Fisherman's Net pizza ($18.00) made up of prawns, squids, mussels, mozzarella and grated lemon zest. We requested to exclude mussels, and it is still yummy! Comes along self-service of cheese and chili pepper. Totally thumbs!

Duck Pot Pie ($22.00) is slow braised duck in rich wine sauce with vegetables and spices in a baked shell. Basically it's like a bowl of duck meat with gravy, covered by a thin and soft layer of crust. Easily break it apart, and dip with the sauce. I love the thick gravy and braised duck meat is soft and tasty.. Empty bowl as a result :)

Cod with Sauce Vierge ($28.00) is pan-seared cod fillet with sauce vierge servd with panache of vegetables and aligot potatoes. Again, nothing to complain about!

Wondered between six desserts they have, we went for the Durian Pengat ($8.00), which is one of the popular dessert there. It is luscious durian pulp cocooned in crepe. Durian pulp is sweet and thick, and pretty awesome for the durian-lovers :) No doubt one of the best there!

Ambience and location are seriously a fail to me, but food wise managed to cover up. They have hotpot to for 2 / 4 pax and more, which also seems like a hit to go for, as it is available all-day.

One plus point is that the assistant restaurant manager will remember, and address you by your name when he made his rounds to ask about the service and food, etc. Perhaps you have to made a reservation first, but such "personalized" service is rarely seen... You will also be provided a complimentary parking ticket, so less the worry about parking at Bay Hotel :)
