2 Degree Ice Bar (20 November 2013 - 15 May 2014)

For those who have been to 2 Degree Ice Art, located at Marina Bay area, their Ice Bar shouldn't sound at all unfamiliar to you. Perhaps, famous for smashing their ice mugs against an ice wall..

I had a visit to the Ice Art just right next door. Can't expect a grand exhibit, but temperature can be really freezing cold, the longer you stayed in. What's more? A playground toward the other end of the exhibit, and also the place where man-made snow was created. I was actually expecting the whole exhibit to be "snowing", but to my disappointment, it's just a small area by the playground.

Anyway, feeling excited about the Ice Mugs and bar food, we headed over to Ice Bar once we are done with the walking, photos, and playing the ice slides.

Seating are both indoors, but one with the freezing cold temperature, and another is much warmer. A better place for people who can't stand the cold...

Not long ago, I have blogged about my visit to Teochew Porridge Restaurant, the craving never stops...

Luckily, I managed to find another, which might also seem to be a household name among the Teochew porridge lovers!

The Royal Mail, Valentine's Day 2014

Was raking my head for dining during Valentine's Day 2014, and found this small hidden restaurant by recommendation!

In fact, I was surprised having to work in CBD for the past couple of years, and didn't knew the existence of The Royal Mail. Do not be fooled though. Nothing to do with postage and such.. Rather, its focused on satisfying your stomach in a cozy and a little classy type of ambiance!

The Audacious Cakery

My first thought goes like, a western-like dessert shop under HDB?

Anyway, I was invited along for food-tasting.. Or rather, cake tasting. I didn't researched about the location till I reached there, and realized it is housed under HDB. Well, the whole stretch of the corridor are full of shops, which is unique to me. If you are looking for a common space such as void deck, you might want to re-navigate your direction.

China, Xiamen - Random food

I've been pondering for quite some time, on whether should I share my food here during my family trip to China. Because I have nothing much to say, and its gonna be photos-intensive then! Well.. Since I have the pics, might as well?

It's kind of like an annual family trip, which usually falls at the end of year. The trip were planned by my dad, and most of the time a few of my relatives will tag along too. I am not a person who prefer to be bind to holiday tours, as I find it too restrictive, and isn't gonna be as fun... Last year, my dad made it a little different, as he got his friend over there to drive us around. A pretty boring trip, as most of our time were spent on traveling... Not to mention the fun-spoiler due to the persistent rain! Anyway will still be sharing some scenery pics another time.

To the food.. Some were pretty yummy.. Here's what I have to share :)

We had our lunch on board the flight, thus our first meal upon landing was "awarded" to dinner...

Lynn's Cakes & Coffee

Chanced upon this small cakery shop, and what attract me is the simplistic color and interior design.

HKC Hong Kong Cafe

Went to NEX Shopping Mall to catch a movie, and decided to have dinner first... We only had an hour left before the movie, and decided to head for this while searching around at basement 1. Tempted for Shabu, but guessed it wouldn't be an enjoyable meal if we have to limit ourselves to an hour of dining time??

Seoul Yummy Korean Casual Dining

Realized this post has been unpublished since quite some time...

Seoul Yummy, just somewhere visible upon exiting the upward escalator, is no doubt an attraction to diners! But does the food justify the queue that I experienced halfway through my meal?...
