I haven't been to Spruce before, and I gave my first to the outlet at Phoenix Park after hearing the food at Tanglin fare better than at Upper Bukit Timah.

There's a bus stop within 5-10 minutes walk, but if you are looking to walk from any nearby MRT, you might want to find a companion or plug some music into your ears if you're alone.

Canton Paradise

This was my 2nd trip to 112 Katong, and honestly speaking, I kinda dread coming to Katong area due to its narrow roads and limited street parking lots. Nevertheless, I love it is also a place where people can have tons of choices to munch for a meal. Therefore, also explains the constant traffic jams during the off-office hours.

I have been other outlets managed under Paradise Group, but to Canton Paradise, this was still my first. Canton Paradise focus on the Cantonese popular delights, such as the roast meat and dim sum, as though bringing you to Hong Kong.

The Laneway Market

The Laneway Market is as its name describes. Situated in a laneway just off the busy and narrow road of Tanjong Katong Road, where parking can be a tedious job. If you have been to the east of Singapore, and specifically Tanjong Katong, it is almost like another food haven, where cafes and restaurants sprouts all over and definitely, residents around need not worry about starving.

Boufe Cafe

Boufe, is a cafe which I think is not a very convenient place to head for, as even the nearest MRT station will probably take around 15-20 minutes walk. But despite the inconvenience, the queue to get a table is astonishingly long as the weekend lunch hours creep in.

Boufe has a "my backyard garden" feel, which does make me wish that I lived in a place like this, with a garden to relax while still within my own premises.
