Azur (Crabs & Crepes Buffet)

I have visited Azur before, and one of the part I like is their constant change of menu to continue stringing diner's appetite to Azur.

Located in Crowne Plaza, Terminal 3, arriving or departing passengers of Changi Airport can indeed invite themselves to a sumptuous buffet easily.

Azur has it's dishes lined up in a row, ranging from Spanish desserts to Japanese Sushi, and not forgetting the recent change in introducing the crab dishes!

Similar to the Peking Duck (北京烤鸭) concept, Azur sliced out the duck meat and wrapped it within. It is also nice, but I think the original concept is better well-liked by me.

As mentioned earlier, the highlight of this change is the crab dishes. Here is one of the unique creation I've seen, Crab's in Crepes.

Basically you asked from the manning chef for a crepe, and state your preferred filling. I couldn't make up my mind, and shamelessly requested for all.The choice of fillings are curry mayonnaise crab, sambal dry shrimps crab, crab meat goulash, honey pineapple chicken and crab, and also the snow crab wasabi.

Not a crab dish, but a French hot dessert which I like it a lot! Crepe Suzette is which the chef simmered it a little with the orange butter sauce, and then you scoop your preferred jams to go along. Very much like bread and jam concept, but this is definitely so much better. Highly recommended for the sweet tooth!

For the crab lovers, the change of local crab dish at every 30 minutes is gotta be an anticipated one. The types of crab dishes to be available are Wok Fried Cereal Crab, Salted Egg Crab, Black Peppercorn Crab, Singapore Chilli Crab and Curry Crab.

If you are more of a Western Crabby person, Azur also have Saffron Rice with Tomato Crab, BBQ Sri Lanka Crab, Crispy Dungeness Crab Cakes with CHestnuts in Mnago-Pineapple Salsa. Other than just the crab dishes, the array of seafood is not forgotten. Prawns, Mussels, Barramundi Fish with Crab Meat Herbs, etc. are also a good-to-try options.

Following are the food I took for further references. Of course, not forgetting to leave some space for desserts too, with items like Jackfruit Sago in Coconut, Durian Pancakes, Chocolate Fountain with mixed berries, melons and marshmallows, and also other chilled miniature desserts!

The award-winning, all-day dining restaurant is perfect for a business or even a leisurely meal. While taking care that diners can enjoy a wide variety of Eastern and Western Cuisine, Azur serves a neither pork nor lard.

With the Crab and Crepe Buffet priced at $75++ per person, it is quite worth it, where a simple crab dish outside will easily cost half of the price. The Crab and Crepe Buffet is only available from Friday to Sunday for dinner buffet, and is only till 29 November 2015. So do take a look at your calendar before heading down with excitement!
